HY2 (Hybrid 2): Secondary Node

This module looks at the Secondary Node (distribution network)

Underground and aerial versions (the ASN)

Look at installed U/G and O/H - trays, ODFs, 1:8 splitter cassettes etc

HY3 (Hybrid 3): Aerial Cable

Installation of Ultra Light Weight overhead cable; helical clamps, pole rings.

What is CP08 compliance; aerial span and MDU distribution

HY4 (Hybrid 4): Primary Node

Two version of the PN (Primary Node): underground (splice closure) PN and cabinet based PN, the latter being necessary where there are overhead spans and drops

Look at installed PNs - trays, ODFs, 1:4 splitter cassettes etc

HY5 (Hybrid 5): Cables and Ducts

1-12F blown customer drop fibre units; 12-96F blown distribution minicables

432F blown wrapping tube cable with SpiderWeb ribbon fibres

PVC main duct 110 mm

Appreciation of microducts: 7/3.5, 14/10, 20/16 and 12x 5/3.5 mm multiduct
