S009 - PIA Pole Stepping on Congested Poles

The module assesses the delegate's knowledge and ability to increase space in the upper pole envelope by moving the top bass step downwards in line with the current PIA terms and conditions and also to understand the new upper envelope of space and its measurement.

Description

This accreditation is for Communication Providers (CP) engineers and contractors working in the Openreach infrastructure including Northern Ireland. This module consists of two parts, a questionnaire and a practical session. The module assesses the delegate's knowledge and ability to increase space in the upper pole envelope by moving the top bass step downwards in line with the current PIA terms and conditions and also to understand the new upper envelope of space and its measurement.

Prerequisites

  • SA001 - Overhead Safety or equivalent
  • NRSWA Streetworks Qualification - Unit 01

It also covers the agreed network quality standards associated with PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) CP (Communication Provider) cable deployment. The accreditation consists of a questionnaire and practical assessment.
