S005 - PIA Pole Survey

This accreditation covers 3 modules, Module 1 training designed to develop the delegates knowledge of the Openreach Overhead Infrastructure. Module 2 equips the delegates with the necessary skills to undertake a safe PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) Pole Survey. Module 3 accreditation access the delegates knowledge by demonstrating the competency required to complete an effective PIA Pole Survey.

Description

This accreditation covers 3 modules,

  • Module 1 training designed to develop the delegates knowledge of the Openreach Overhead Infrastructure.
  • Module 2 equips the delegates with the necessary skills to undertake a safe PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) Pole Survey.
  • Module 3 accreditation access the delegates knowledge by demonstrating the competency required to complete an effective PIA Pole Survey.

The accreditation covers the engineering techniques used to deploy cable and Sub Duct up to a maximum diameter of 25mm within the Openreach underground infrastructure safely. It also covers the agreed network quality standards associated with PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) CP (Communication Provider) cable deployment. The accreditation consists of a questionnaire and practical assessment.

It also covers the agreed network quality standards associated with PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) CP (Communication Provider) cable deployment. The accreditation consists of a questionnaire and practical assessment.
