The accreditation consists of a questionnaire and practical assessment.

Delegates are required to demonstrate their competence in Safe methods of excavation, backfill and reinstatement of modular, flexible and composite surfaces and concrete footways and location and avoidance of underground utilities.

This accreditation has been developed to ensure that those who work on ladders and wooden poles do so safely following all policies, procedures and safe working practices.

This assessment will test the delegate's knowledge of and ability to install OFN cables in the U/G network where hand rodding is the chosen option, using current working practices and quality standards. It also covers fitting a no drill Mobra or flat bar for a CBT. Support, restraint and labelling will also be checked, this is to ensure understanding of the Quality standards

This accreditation covers 3 modules, Module 1 training designed to develop the delegates knowledge of the Openreach Overhead Infrastructure. Module 2 equips the delegates with the necessary skills to undertake a safe PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access) Pole Survey. Module 3 accreditation access the delegates knowledge by demonstrating the competency required to complete an effective PIA Pole Survey.

Formally known as DL1. The module target audience are engineers working on the Openreach network including Contract Partners. This assessment will test the delegate's knowledge of installing Duct 54 and 56. The module covers the installation of single way and 2 way duct only. For laying multi-way duct exceeding 2 ways the operative will require Duct Laying 2 for which the Q021 module is a pre-requisite.

This accreditation is aimed at supervisors and planners working in a telecommunications environment. This accreditation does not cover roof top working.
