NRSWA Full Supervisor

The full 5 day NRSWA Street Works Supervisor course is for anyone who wants to monitor physical work under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991. Delegates are required to demonstrate their monitoring in Safe methods of excavation, backfill and reinstatement of modular, flexible and composite surfaces and concrete footways and location and avoidance of underground utilities.

Description

This course consists of questionnaire and practical assessments on the below modules:

  • NRSWA LA - Location and Avoidance of Underground Apparatus (Unit 1)
  • NRSWA S1 - Monitoring signing, Lighting and Guarding (Unit 10)
  • NRSWA S2 - Monitoring Excavation in the Highway (Unit 11)
  • NRSWA S3 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Backfill Materials (Unit 12)
  • NRSWA S4 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Sub-Base and Base in Non Bituminous Materials (Unit 13)
  • NRSWA S5 - Monitoring Reinstatement in Bituminous Materials (Unit 14)
  • NRSWA S7 - Monitoring Reinstatement of Modular Surfaces and Concrete Footways (Unit 16)

Similar courses

The Location and Avoidance of Underground Services course is also known as Unit 1 or CAT and Genny training and can be undertaken as a one-day course, as a standalone unit on a NRSWA card. Candidates will undertake practical exercises using the equipment and will be observed throughout the day by the trainer. Candidates will also be required to complete a practical assessment and multiple choice test in order to pass the course.
