This module is essential for anyone carrying out civils work in the Openreach network. The target audience for this accreditation is anyone working on the Openreach network including Contract Partners.

  • Q013-  Box Building 
  • Q019 - Core Drilling
  • Q021 - Duct Laying
  • Q020 - Duct Blockage

Prerequisites

Prerequisites – prior to attending this event you MUST have completed the following

  • Mandatory Safety Accreditation: SA006 - Safe Working in Civils
  • Mandatory NRSWA Qualification: SWQR Unit LA, Unit O1, Unit O2, Unit O3
    • Mandatory K008 - Hand Rodding and Roping if working directly for Openreach (Contract Partners)

    Or

    • Mandatory S007 - PIA Sub-Duct and cable installation if PIA (Communications Providers)

This assessment will test the delegate's knowledge of installing Duct 54 and 56. The module covers the installation of single way and 2 way duct only. For laying multi-way duct exceeding 2 ways the operative will require Duct Laying 2 for which the Q021 module is a pre-requisite.
