SA020 - Working Safely in Single and Multi-Occupancy Dwellings Including Buildings
Provides candidates with the knowledge to identify hazards and risks and to work safely in single and multi-occupancy dwellings, including buildings according to industry standards and practices.
Description
Understanding hazards, risk assessments and safe systems of work involved with working within a customer's premises installing a range of fibre termination equipment (ONT/MDU).
Understanding essential safety skills and awareness of the hazards and potential risks involved when working in within a customer's premises, including Asbestos awareness, Fire stopping, Voltage/Stud detection, the safe use of drills and lofts/enclosed spaces.
This course is designed for people who work in customers premises within a telecommunications environment.
Prerequisites
This course is available to anyone over the age of 16. There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Centres must ensure potential learners suitability for this course and identify any specific needs/reasonable adjustments that may be required.
- You must be trained to use specialist equipment for high level access – tower scaffold, long ladders, etc.
