EUSR - SHEA Telecommunications

The Safety Health and Environmental Awareness (SHEA) suite of schemes have been developed in collaboration with industry to provide a uniform approach to health, safety and environmental awareness training across the utilities sector, in line with Health and Safety Executive guidelines. It is designed for individuals who require access to operational sites within the telecommunications industry, both permanent and temporary, at all levels including operatives, supervisors and management.

This course comprises of 7 modules:

  • Understanding our workplace responsibilities
  • Understanding the effects of our work on the environment
  • Identifying and controlling risks
  • Common hazards in the workplace
  • Occupational health hazards
  • Responding to emergencies
  • Highway working and excavations
